From 23rd till 28th January 2013 in the Concert Hall of “Saint Peterburg” Hotel there was the 10th international competition of choreographic groups “Peterburgskaja Metelitsa”. 27 groups and 26 soloists from Bulgaria, Israel, Kazakhstan and Russia took part in the competition. The participants were separated into 2 groups according to their age: junior group – from 10 to 14 years old and senior group – from 14 to 18 years old. They competed in four nominations – classical dance, modern dance, folk dance and characteristic dance.
Our girls win the first place in ensemble performance.They had a great advantage over the other participants. Adriana Manasieva, a student from 12th grade in Private School of Dance Art deservedly win the first place in the nomination “Classical dance soloist” for senior group. As a proof of her high professional training was the offer to continue her education in “Lavrovski” Choreographical School in Moscow. Ivana Harizanova, a student from 1st grade, win the second place in nomination “Classical dance soloist” for junior group and Nina Lakichevich, a student from 9th grade, win the third place. Joice Dall, a student from 8th grade, win a diplom in the same nomination.
The debutante Ivana Harizanova was the youngest participant in her nomination. She charmed the authoritative jury, that estimated her dance skills, acting and musicality.
The graduates of the Russian Lyceum returned in Sofia, filled with a lot of impressions from the competition and from Saint Peterburg – one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The special program of the competition gave an opportunity of meeting the participants from the other countries and seeing the sights of the city, as well as visiting the world-known museum “The Ermitage”. But the largest present for the young ballet-dancers was the visit of Marinski Theatre, where they had a happiness to watch the ballet “Swan’s Lake”.
