Students from the Russian Lyceum-Sofia noted officially 1st November- the Day of leaders of Bulgarian National Revival. This holiday became a spiritual and patriotism holiday. Students from 6th and 7th grade represented a literature program in front of all students – from 1st to 10th grade as well as their teachers and the Principal of the school – Mrs Shara Karsakpaeva. Students recited poems from leaders of Bulgarian National Revival – Hristo Botev, Dobri Chintulov, P. R. Slavejkov and read passages of the most Bulgarian book- “The Slav-Bulgarian history” by Paisii Hilendarski. The most powerful were the words: “Bulgarian, know your origin and language” and “ A nation without history isn’t a nation”, which are topical nowadays. Pupils from 1st and 2nd grade greeted all students with a cheerful song.
The Principal of the Lyceum with proud showed a prestige award, that she received in Moscow, where she had been on a conference “Compatriots and their contribution to the world’s culture”. Mrs Karsakpaeva received a diploma “For special contribution for studying, conserving and developing the Russian scientific, intellectual and cultural heritage out of the borders”. That is a great recognition for all her activity and work in the Russian Lyceum-Sofia. She told the students with an excitement that this award coincides with the Day of Leaders of Bulgarian National Revival. The students and the teachers applauded the Principal.
At the end of the holiday Mrs Karsakpaeva told students and teachers some warm words and thanked them for their work. She wished them success.
