There was a festal Christmas performance of the Russian Lyceum-Sofia on 19th December in Sofia Theatre. Students and graduates from “Galina Ulanova” Private School, Secondary School, Private Kindergarten and Russian Ballet School of the Lyceum took part in the performance.
The heading of the show was “Christmas tale” and it was in two parts. In the first part the students recited Christmas rhymes, sang songs and danced with a high spirit on the stage in front of the full house. The second part was author’s performance of the ballet “The Nut-cracker” by the principal of the Russian Lyceum Mrs Shara Karsakpaeva with the assistance of ballet mistresses Sara-Nora Krusteva, Stephka Hristova and Ludmila Molostovova. The performance provoked real admiration and loud applause in the audience. Ballet soloists Nikola Arnaudov and Georgi Banchev from the National Opera took part in it too.
The beautiful set-scene and musical compositions, the elegance and grace of the ballet dancers created a sensation of a fabulous and magical night. A magnificent fairy, a beautiful Spanish woman, eastern beauties, Chinese dolls, cheerful devilkins, dolls-snowflakes, little Masha and the Nut-cracker and the gorgeous prince and princess at the end danced on the stage. An amazing magic, scene of faery and beauty – it was the Christmas performance!
The official guests, parents, teachers and ex-graduates of the Russian Lyceum , who witnessed the event, gave a standing ovation to performance participants.
